{"id":1066,"date":"2012-07-06T18:29:46","date_gmt":"2012-07-06T22:29:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/garykahn.net\/yoga\/?p=1066"},"modified":"2016-04-10T17:45:09","modified_gmt":"2016-04-10T21:45:09","slug":"yoga-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/garykahn.net\/yoga\/2012\/07\/yoga-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Yoga Hating Poses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tammy,<\/p>\n<p>I know yogis are not supposed to hate on anything but there are a few poses I find less than desirable.<\/p>\n<p>First there is half standing forward bend.\u00a0 I bet I look like the hunchback of Notre Dame when doing this pose.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think any teacher has corrected this pose of mine because they think I might have leprosy and be contagious.<\/p>\n<p>Full Boat pose is another undesirable.\u00a0 I feel as if I am having Parkinson shakes when in this position and that I&#8217;m doing permanent damage to my back.<\/p>\n<p>Dragonfly is not a fave either.\u00a0 Most women in yoga classes ace this pose and can put their elbows on the ground.\u00a0 Me, I can&#8217;t get my torso to lean forward at all.\u00a0 I feel like a wax statue waiting to be sent to a taxidermist with my torso leaning backwards.<\/p>\n<p>Do you have any poses not on your preferred list?<\/p>\n<p>Gary Kahn<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tammy, I know yogis are not supposed to hate on anything but there are a few poses I find less than desirable.
