So I arrive in your class one day.\u00a0 There is a guy there and he says he’s\u00a0happy that another guy (me) will be in the class.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think much about it.\u00a0 The guy then rattles off a whole bunch of maladies and how he is affected by them.\u00a0 I quickly decide that I will place my mat as far from his mat\u00a0as possible.\u00a0 After a class wherein you had us try a bunch of different poses, in what seemed like slow motion, I heard the guy complaining about even more\u00a0physical issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I definitely avoided the guy on the way out.\u00a0 I found myself thinking this guy was tremendously annoying.\u00a0 Fortunately these thoughts did not come up during class.\u00a0 He made it clear he was into women;\u00a0so why was he happy when the room became more filled with testosterone?\u00a0\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t his odds with women be greater if there was less competition?\u00a0 I don\u2019t know what this guy was all about.\u00a0 Why did he brag about his aches and pains?\u00a0\u00a0Are women\u00a0impressed by that?\u00a0 Maybe I’m\u00a0out of touch with picking up women but I still think they like masculine guys that appear to have their act together.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Are women attracted to men\u00a0who have negative\u00a0game and claim insecurity as a\u00a0strength?\u00a0\u00a0Wow!\u00a0 What cardboard box am I living in?\u00a0 I guess I better get to a yoga class and start crying.\u00a0 Wait a second.\u00a0 What’s this blog all about?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hold on.\u00a0 Maybe the\u00a0real question is:\u00a0 should I care about this dude and\/or let him bother me?\u00a0 After all, in class I didn’t\u00a0think about him.\u00a0\u00a0Am I\u00a0judging the malingerer?\u00a0 In yoga the aim appears to be voiding yourself of judgment.\u00a0 Does yoga promote helping a fellow man or letting him\/her be?\u00a0 I\u2019m probably not properly qualified to help the guy but I could tell him that women are\u00a0rarely ever turned on by verbal self-mutilation.\u00a0 As a teacher, do you try to loosen him up and tell him to take it easy or let him be and hope he figures things out?<\/p>\n
Did you say this yoga thing is supposed to be relaxing and freeing of the mind?<\/p>\n
